Annapurna Base Camp Trek- 15 days  starts from Pokhara, which is the gateway to Annapurna Himalaya Region of Nepal. This place itself is considered as a natural paradise for explorers and nature lovers. With stunning landscape, it offers a touristic environment. Moreover, the serene lakes and street, thrilling natural water fall, holy caves and ad adventure activity, Paragliding fascinate outnumbered tourists from the globe. Sarangkot, which is a hill station and also a popular vantage point  for sunrise, sunset and breathtaking mountain views. Sarangkot is the spot from where, paragliding takes off and lands at the bank of Phewa lake.

From Pokhara, we take a short drive (one hour) to Nayapool. Nayapool is the place from where we begin our trekking. Now, we begin to walk via picturesque traditional village among country landscapes and flora and faunas.

The steep uphill of Ullery is really challenging for us. However, the walk is absolutely pleasant through rhododendron.

Ghorepani and our early climb to Poonhill offers incredible mountain views. Annapurna-I, Annapurna-IV, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Ganesh Himal, Manasalu and many more are dominant views in Annapurna Base Camp Trekking.

Annapurna Conservation Area, the largest conservation in the world is also a prominent attraction of this trekking.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek- 15 days  trail lets you please yourself by trekking in Annapurna. Cascading waterfalls, pristine villages, terraced farmlands, green meadows and lush Rhododendron forests steadily excites you at the initial stages of the trek. For being a part of the Annapurna region, you later reward all credits to yourself with a different feeling of amusement. This trekking route is ideal for trekkers who wish to taste the delicious ingredients of the Annapurna region but are restricted by time.

On our backtracking, we still enjoy natural hot spring at Jhinu danda. This will be like relaxation on natural warm water and also like therapy in the mountain. We end this trek after one hour drive from Nayapool to Pokhara.

Accommodation

We will offer three star accommodation in Kathmandu and in Pokhara . If you want to upgrade the accommodation, you have to pay some extra. Mountain accommodation during the trekking days will be very ordinary and basic. All accommodation will be on twin sharing basis. Single supplementary has to pay extra.  We spend the night at lodges and guesthouses. We occasionally get attached bathrooms. eNepaltour Pvt. Ltd. tries its best to book the A grade accommodation in the mountain prior to the trekking unlike other populated regions.

Meals

We provide only breakfast in Kathmandu and during the trekking days. In the trekking days, you pick up the item mentioned in the menu at the lodge or guesthouse and you will enjoy it. Sometimes, in a big group, you may have buffet service too. This takes place especially in peak season (Sept-Nov).  Breakfast will be provided at the guesthouse where we spent the night, lunch somewhere in the middle of the next destination and dinner at the guesthouse where we stay tonight. We offer you typical organic Nepali cushion which are really amazing.  

Best Time to Travel

Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best time for Trekking. The weather is delightful and pleasant during autumn. The mountain views are astonishing.

The hills are wrapped with beautiful flowering rhododendron during spring. Also majority of the trekkers find Spring best time to trek to Annapurna Base Camp since they love to see flowering rhododendron.

Winter( Dec-Feb) will be very harsh due to cold and cloudy weather which hide the mountain peaks.

Summer will be too hot for some trekkers. Heavy rainfall occurs and disturbs the transportation and even walk in the mountain.

Physical Condition and Experience

Those who can walk 4-5 hours in the mountain can do this trek.  Annapurna Base Camp Trek-15 days  is a moderate  trek in Annapurna Region Trekking in Nepal . Regular exercise, jogging and short hiking enhance your stamina and confidence. No  prior trekking experience and technical skills are required for Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. These prior skills will be an asset for it.

Getting to the trailhead and Away

We drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It is short 25 minutes flight. But if you choose to drive, it takes 8-9 hours. Again from Pokhra, we drive 1.30 hrs to Nayapool. Nayapool is the bginning point of Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. We again end our trekking at Nayapool and drive back to Pokhara. We either choose to fly or drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. 

Threats and Safety

We do not really face such terrible threats during this trekking. There is no any slippery trail. We do not face any glaciers and avalenches in Annapurna Base Camp Trekking. But climbing steep uphill of  Ulleri might be challenging, sometimes, for the beginners. But it is only for 2-3 hours hiking. Otherwise,  we will clebrate beautiful and pleasant trek in the lap of mountains. 

There are few cases the trekkers suffered from altitude sickness. It may be because dehydration and lack of stamina. Sometimes, we have food poison too. Report it to you trekking leader or guide if you have any health inconveniences. You will immediately be rescued. Drink plenty of hot drinks and do not smoke in the higher elevation. Have balanced diet and have sound sleep.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

After your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative, a representative from Kanko Nepal Treks and Expedition  will pick you up from the airport and take us to our hotel. In the evening, After you get refressed, we have a short orientation meeting introducing guide, porter and the description about the trip. We also prepare the necessary equipment. Be with 3 passport size photographs, passport and travel insurance. We have a welcome dinner this evening.   Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 - Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour and Preparation for the Trek

We begin our valley sightseeing after breakfast at around 8. This is a guided sightseeing. We have a van or car and a professional city guide.Our visit is to UNESCO World Heritage sites located withn the valley like Pashupatinath, Swyombbunath, Bouddhanath, Patan etc. We have lunch during our tour. After lunch we still continue our city tour and we end today's tour at around 4. In the evening, we can get the equipments that we require during the trek. 

Day 03. Fly or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

If we choose to fly, it is 30 minutes scenic flight or if we choose to drive, it takes 7-8 hours. The road is , indeed not good enough, Sometimes, we have heavy traffic in narrow road. If we arrive early in Pokhara, we can do some sightseeing and other activities. Overnight in hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04 - Pokhara to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/4905ft) Duration: 5 Hours

First we drive to Nayapool. It is 1 and half hour driving along the country road. This drive is very pleasant. Then, we begin walking from Nayapool via country settlements and landscapes. Until we arrive at Tikhedhunga, this walk is very exciting. Overnight at Teahouse at Tokhedhunga.

Day 05 - Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9348ft) Duration: 7 Hours

Today, we have relatively tougher work going all the way up until we arrive at Ghorepani. However, the deep rhododendron woods make our trip really spectacular. The steep stones steps of Ulleri is a challenge for us. But when we get, Ghorepani, we are very happy to see breathtaking mountains. Overnight at Teahouse at Ghorepani.

Day 06 - Hike to Poon Hill for sunrise then trek to Tadapani (2500m/8200ft) Duration: 6-7 Hours

We get up early in the morning and we climb PoonHill and observe sunrise and spectacular mpuntain views including Annapurna- I, Annapurna-IV, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Ganesh Himal, Manasalu and many more. Then, we head to Tadapani via Ghorepani. The trail to Tadapani is still beautiful passing through dense rhododendron. Overnight at Teahouse at Tadapani.

Day 07 - Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m/6625ft) Duration: 5 Hours

Today’s walk is mostly passing through traditional villages ,ethnic communities and picturesque landscapes. Overnight at Teahouse at Chhomrong.

Day 08 - Chhomrong to Dovan (2600m/8528ft) Duration: 5 Hours

We further trek following Chhmrong Khola.Today, we enter into Annapurna Conservation Area and observe some unique species of flora and faunas. Overnight at Teahouse at Dovan.

Day 09 - Dovan to Deurali (3200m/10500ft) Duration: 4 Hours

Today, we mostly will encounter with bamboo. These bamboos are amazing and pleasant. Besides, we also observe deep and dense rhododendron on the way to Deurali. We pass Hinku and finally get Deurali. We get several lodges and teahouse as our accommodation. Overnight at Teahouse at Deurali.

Day 10 - Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m/13810ft) Duration: 5 hours

Today, we first trek for Machhapuchhre Base Camp which is a popular vantage point in Annapurna Trekking region in Nepal. We capture awe-inspiring mountain views and we further attempt to get Annapurna Base Camp. We will totally be mesmerized to witness towering mountain peaks from Annapurna Base Camp. It takes further 2 hours from Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Overnight at Teahouse at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 11 - Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft) Duration: 7 hours

We hike down following Modi Khola all the way until we get Bamboo. This is the first day of backtracking in this trip. Overnight at Teahouse at Bamboo.

Day 12 - Bamboo to Jhinu Danda hot spring (1780m/5840ft) Duration: 6 hours

Today, we first climb up Chhomrong. During this climb, we massively encounter with flowering rhododendron during spring. From chhomrong, we hike down to Jhino Danda and we enjoy natural hot spring here. Overnight at guest house at Jhino Danda.

Day 13 - Jhinu Danda to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) Duration: 5 Hours

We trek to Nayapool first and take a bus or van to Pokhara. It is total 5 hours trip todays including hiking and driving.

Day 14 - Fly or Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu Duration: (7/8 Hours- drive) ( 30 mins, flight)

We either drive or fly from Pokhara ro Kathmandu today. If we choose to fly, it is 30 minutes scenic flight or if we choose to drive, it takes 7-8 hours. The road is , indeed not good enough, Sometimes, we have heavy traffic in narrow road. If we arrive early in Kathmandu,  we can do some sightseeing and other activities like shopping. We have a farewell dinner this evening.

Day 15 - Farewell/Trek Ends

According to your international flight schedule, we drop you at the 2 hours earlier so that you will be able to catch up your scheduled flight. This is the day to say good bye to you but it doesn’t mean that you won’t come back to Nepal again.
